Fantasy Basketball: The Nash Mash

by Twist on January 20, 2012

Mr. Steve Nash reminded me why I drafted him.  57% shooting, 15 assists, 8 rebounds, 100% FT’s and 7 turnovers, but that comes with the territory.

I have been a little concerned lately.  Nash complained about the offense which may not sit well with Porter, the coach, but he is the MVP twice over, you have to give him your ear.

Nash is a competitor and it showed tonight as they were down quite a bit until the middle of the 4th quarter when they turned it on and he reminded everyone who the hell he is, though it was against the Thunder, the weakest team in the NBA.
The offense has to change to mirror what it’s point guard is willing to do and Porter has to learn that.
Jason Kidd also blew up with his assist dishes racking up 13, giving my fantasy team more assists than rebounds.  Tonight was light and tomorrow leaves me two sitting on the bench.  Jason Richardson is still an unknown with his recent minor surgery.
I am uncertain whether or not to play my new pickup Dalembert.  I dropped Troy Murphy because of his ridiculously low shooting and ft percentages as ell as a lack of blocks.  Of course Troy Murpy shot exceptionally well just to piss me off and continued his good rebounding.
Lebron had decent numbers considering that it was a blow out and he didn’t need to play.  Maybe he was just showing New York that they need him.  I am still pleased with my pick up, Chris Duhon.  He is giving me 3′s, assists and more recently, points.  Very happy with him.
Tomorrow will be a big day where almost everyone is playing and get a good look at the numbers again.  Hopefully they will blow up like Nash and Kidd have tonight.
