So many people are bashing Twitter which just means it will be here for a long time. So far there are only about 8 million people on it but it has been growing immensely in the last 2 months. So what is it? It is undefinable but here is what I see.

Twitter is an RSS feed of what people see or find.
Twitter is broadcast text messaging to people who are interested in what you have to say.
Twitter is truly social mindshare. Questions get answered.
Twitter is an open classroom. I have learned about my Gmail functions, charts, book release parties, concepts, theories, discounts,
Twitter is instant news. Someone used Twitter after a plane crashed with pictures, during a wildfire, during a flood and even the news uses Twitter, as well as news reporters.
Twitter is less cumbersome than Facebook. I like the simplicity of Twitter. I get information in 140 characters or less. I don’t have to look at a picture if I don’t want to see it. It fits my ADD personality.
Twitter is a stalker’s paradise. Celebrities use Twitter giving away tickets and showing pictures you wouldn’t see somewhere else. Greg Grunberg from Heroes, Shaq, Jimmy Fallon, Mark Cuban, Richard Branson, Dr. Drew, and so many more.
So what is Twitter? Anything you want it to be. I use it to follow the people who give me interesting information, friends, and people I respect. Find your use and I think you could be enriched by it.
WorkCandy doesn’t have a Twitter account because this is my hobby site but I have my own Twitter account which is tech based and I have found tips and tricks that I wouldn’t have stumbled upon anywhere else.
