Want To Forget A Girlfriend? Science Can Help!

by Twist on October 23, 2008

When Eternanal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind came out it was a fantastic if ultimately flawed plan.  Erase certain memories so you didn’t have to deal with pain or trauma of said memories, ie. college hazing, Mom walking in, kiss denied, etc..  Of course everyone else had to remember to keep your secret from you, therein lies the flaw.

But either way, scientists like to make science fiction become reality.  If they can perfect this the best way to use it would be completely illegal and unethical, but hey, you are probably reading this at work so those aren’t really bothersome concepts.

Get caught doing the cleaning lady on your boss’ desk?  Wipe his memory, not hers, that crosses the last line.  Wife catches you walking into a strip club, wipe her memory.  Neighbor wants his really nice circular saw back, see you got the idea.

Can’t find Weapons of Mass Destruction?  Don’t know how to explain the stain on the blue dress?  Don’t want people to remember you said, “spread the wealth”?  Well those would be more difficult and need a good scrubbing of the internet.
