I am a very mild user on Twitter.  I have another account besides the @workcandy. and I use Seesmic and Twhirl to keep up on the web.  On my phone I use Twidroid, which hasn’t been acting well.

15 minutes ago I noticed some extra flair on Twitter.

Finally they added a URL shortener.  That is the main reason I looked for other Twitter clients.  It was annoying to get on another site, shorten the copied url, copy that, and paste into Twitter.

I don’t know what I think of adding pictures directly in the stream.  It begs for more pictures to be added and for spammers to hock their wares.  Time will tell if photos are good or not.  Eventually, and maybe they have, they might add a “no photo, just link” option in the Twitter stream.

And probably my biggest frustration and the one that creates the Twitter client necessity, RETWEETS!!!  Once again this might be something that gets abused but I love to be Retweeted and love to share with others the cool stuff that is out there.  This is huge.

One a smaller scale, but very helpful, if you roll your mouse over the avatars of people someone is following you will see their latest tweets saving you the time of jumping back and forth trying to find useful people to follow.

Twitter just got really smart and powerful to be sure.  And they will make money.  Just like crack, it’s always free at first.  I think they could add a line with advertising and most wouldn’t notice a week after it started.

I have a hard time believing that this watch is as cool as it looks for only $15.89.  OhGizmo! agrees. If you want to give it a shot let me know if it turns your wrist green or breaks in two days.

This is one of those cases where if they were selling the same product for $40 I might be more inclined.  But then again I am a cynical guy and don’t buy anything I haven’t actually seen and touched.

What can you do with Google Wave?  Let Pulp Fiction and Samuel L Jackson show you.  And for those of you that are a little slow, if it involves Pulp Fiction, there will be words you may not want others to hear.  You may be a pussy and not want to hear them yourself.  If you didn’t like me calling you a pussy, don’t watch.

This puts an interesting look into our energy possibilities that are “just around the corner.”

I love things that allow you to do what you want at work without being discovered. For the NCAA tournament, CBS and others offered a “Boss Button” where you could quickly change screens from the game to something that looked like work.  It was clever though if 15 guys in the office all “worked” on that same page, even a stupid boss might catch on.  

Twitter has become an overnight sensation after three years.  The majority of you didn’t hear about it until the last six months.  So with all of the different ways to view Twitter such as Tweetdeck, Twhirl, DestroyTwitter, and Seesmic Desktop, what should you use?

Honda has a robot that can walk, serve drinks and communicate with other robots on their location.  You know in the movies when people are about to open a door or throw a switch which you know will seal their impeding doom?  How do they not see that?

“The robot can, for example, recognize drink choices and carry a tray with the requested drink to the person who placed the order.

“By the end of 2010s, we’d like to see these robots working at every street corner of the city,” said Tomohiko Kawanabe of Honda’s Fundamental Technology Research Center.“

I like my spleen.  My spleen has been good to me.  You should see what it bought me for my birthday.  Now my kidneys, that is another story.

I swear to God. If anyone does this to me…I don’t want it on the internet as proof at my trial. The one thing I can’t handle is random noises that I can’t stop. Rattling dashboard, noises in the dryer, etc and the fact I can’t get them to stop! This does exactly that and it has a magnet so it can be well hidden. It is giving me shivers as I think about it.

But I am willing to take the chance that someone tries this on me so that more people know about this device.
